This Privacy Policy is intended to describe for you as a user of FamilyValuesLegacy.com and/or other URLs that fall under the Family Values Legacy Inc. umbrella (the “Websites”) among other things, the types of information we collect about you when you visit the Family Values Legacy website; with whom your personal information including your name, email address and other contact information may be shared; how you can prevent the sharing of your personal information; and how your personal information is protected from unauthorized use. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services provided by other companies and organizations, including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google, Twitter and Pinterest (companies and organization we call the Service Providers) that we use to provide certain functions and services on the Family Values Legacy site. When you are on the Family Values Legacy website, this Privacy Policy applies. When you are on a Service Provider website or using services provided by them, the privacy policy of the particular Service Provider will apply. Also, when you click on a link to non-Family Values Legacy Inc. owned website the privacy practices of that website will apply. Family Values Legacy (“FVL”) provides you with ideas, inspiration, resources, guided content, products, and services that will assist you in building your enduring legacy and capturing your emotional assets (a “Subscription”) through the Websites and Applications, for your own use (the “Service”).

We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully when using our Websites, Applications, or Service or transacting business with us. By using our Websites, Applications, and/or Service, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collected By Third Parties

We may allow third party analytics companies, research companies or ad networks to collect non-personally identifiable information on our site. Payment And Financial Information

We may use financial information or payment method to process payment from any purchases made on our Websites and/or Applications, including Subscription Fees, and other programs in which you elect to participate, to pre-qualify you for credit card use, to protect against or identify possible fraudulent transactions, and otherwise as needed to manage our business.

With Whom We Share Your Information

FVL is committed to maintaining your trust and we want you to understand when and with whom we may share information we collect about you.
FVL May Share Your Information With:

  • Service Providers.Service Providers are third parties with whom FVL may work with to offer a service or feature. You can tell when you are accessing a service offered by a Service Provider because the Service Provider’s name will be featured prominently. You may be asked to provide information about yourself to register for a service offered by a Service Provider. In doing so, you may be providing your information to both us and the Service Provider, or we may share your information with the Service Provider. Please note that the Service Provider’s privacy policy may apply to its use of your information.
  • Licensed Providers.Licensed providers are third parties who make available special FVL approved discounts, products or services for FVL members. Some of the licensed providers of FVL member products and services, including many of those listed on the Member Benefits page on the FamilyValuesLegacy.com website, may pay a fee for access to our membership list. These fees are used for the general purposes of FVL. Licensed providers are required to keep FVL member information confidential, and to use the information only to offer the contracted products or services to FVL and FVL members. Some of our licensed providers may also collect data about our members through their interactions with the members. The licensed providers may share some or all of this data with FVL so that we may offer more effective and personalized service to our members. We may share information including personally identifiable information collected from you with Licensed Providers, even if you are not an FVL member.
  • Corporate Affiliates.We may share information including your personally identifiable information with wholly or majority owned affiliates or other affiliated organizations, so they can provide you with information about services, and programs that might interest you.
  • Approved Vendors.We may share your information including your personally identifiable information with companies we hire to provide certain administrative services such as processing address labels, managing databases and sending mailings,

If you ask us to shut down your account or delete your information, we will disable your account in about 12 weeks. After you deactivate your account you will not be able to sign in to our Websites and Applications or access any of your personal information. However, you can open a new account at any time after you deactivate your account. Please note that we may need to retain some information about you in order to satisfy our legal and security obligations. For example, some of your information may remain in back-up storage even if you ask us to delete it. In some cases, you may be entitled under local laws to access or object to the processing of information that we hold relating to you. We may still retain certain information associated with your account for analytical purposes and recordkeeping integrity, as well as to prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, enforce our Terms and Conditions, take actions we deem necessary to protect the integrity of our Websites, Applications, or users, or take other actions otherwise permitted by law. How You Can Keep More Of Your Information Private

  • You can control the information in your FVL personal profile that is visible to others in the FVL community by clicking on Update My Profile.

Please note that if you opt out of receiving communications from us, you may continue to receive material from Service Providers, and/or other parties to whom we provided your information before processing your request to opt-out of communications. You will need to directly contact those third parties in order to opt out of receiving such communications. You also may opt out of receiving such emails by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link within the text of those third party emails.

How We Keep Your Information Secure

FVL uses commercially reasonable physical, procedural, and technological security measures to help prevent unauthorized access to and improper use of the information we collect about you. For example, only authorized employees and authorized third parties are permitted to access personally-identifiable information, and they may do so only for lawful purposes. When we share aggregate data with third parties we prohibit them from re-engineering non-personal data to permit identification of individual users. It is important to understand that the information you submit in personal profiles, message boards, journals, chat rooms, interactive features, and user groups may be publicly displayed. Your messages may be seen by people and organizations not related to FVL, and may be used by these third parties to contact you. As a result, you should be very careful about the information that you publish online. You can control whether or not specific information that you submit is publically visible or visible only to you by updating your personal settings on the FVL website.

Comments etc.

We may provide areas of our Websites and Applications where you can post information about yourself and others and communicate with others. Such postings are governed by our Terms and Conditions. In addition, such postings may appear on other websites or when searches are executed on the subject of the posting. Also, whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on publicly-viewable web pages, that information will be publicly available and can be collected and used by others. FVL is headquartered in the United States. No Rights of Third Parties

This Privacy Policy does not create rights enforceable by third parties or require disclosure of any personal information relating to users of the Websites and Applications.

Conditions Of Use, Changes To This Online Privacy Policy

By visiting FamilyValuesLegacy.com, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any of these terms and conditions, you should not use this site. FVL’s policies, content, information, disclosures, disclaimers and features may be revised, modified, updated, and/or supplemented at any time and without prior notice at the sole and absolute discretion of FVL. If this Privacy Policy is revised the new policy will be posted on the Family Values Legacy website and we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this policy.
